Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Elementaita – Lake Nakuru National Park

On this day, our representative will meet and greet you at your school. After a short briefing you will start your journey to Lake Elementaita which is approximately 2 hours’ drive with stops at scenic sites including the Great Rift Valley view point. On arrival, you will enjoy morning walk along Lake Elementaita with great chances of seeing lots of water birds. Visit the hot springs and later have lunch nearby the lake. Elmenteita is derived from the Masaai word muteita, meaning “dust place”, a reference to the dryness and dustiness of the area, especially between January and March. Today the lake is a protected area due to its birdlife fame and also it has been named as one of the heritage sites. At the southern end of the lake are the “Kekopey” hot springs, in which the Tilapia grahami breed. Very popular for bathing, the local Maasai claim that it can cure AIDS.

After lunch depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, which is approximately 2 hours’ drive. You will arrive in the evening, check in and enjoy a Game Drive around the spectacular park.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park

After Breakfast, you will have a full day game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park with parked lunch. You will enjoy a park drive and famous Fabulous Flamingo with a population of over 1.5 million birds, the Rhinos and Buffalos and many more other animal spices. Drive back to the Hotel for refreshing and dinner.

Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives.

After some hours of game driving you will head to the baboon cliff for picnic don’t be surprised if the spectacular awesome topography at the cliff  leave you drooling as exploring beyond the lake is always rewarding and there are forests, cliffs, waterfalls and more to be found here. Later you will return to the hotel for dinner, refreshing and have a Sun downer.

Day 3: Nakuru – Hyrax Hill Museum – Menengai crater

You will have an early morning game drive. After breakfast, you will check out and our representative will drive you to Hyrax Hill Museum. Located within Nakuru town, Hyrax Hill Museum depicts the lifestyle of seasonal settlement by prehistoric people at least 3,000 years old. The Museum is a former farmhouse ceded to the monument in 1965, by the Late Mr. A. Selfe. A small museum was opened here where artifacts from the Hyrax Hill site and other sites in the Central Rift Valley are displayed.

After lunch you will visit the Menengai Crater. Located on the northern side of Nakuru is the single largest surviving volcanic crater in the world. The Menengai Crater is an extinct volcano that offers striking views of Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria and the crater itself. It is believed that the crater is a historic ground for a battle between different clans from the Maasai community who fought for grazing land and pastures on the slopes of the Rift Valley. For photography lovers, 8 km to the top of the crater, beautiful pink and blue colors of Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogoria become clearer and can make excellent pictures under a brisk sunset. You will later be transferred to your hotel within Nakuru town for check in, lunch entertainment and rest. You will have a chance to do shopping and see the nightlife in Nakuru.

Day 4: Nakuru – Lake Bogoria National Reserve

After an early breakfast at the Lodge, you will check out, you will set out for Lake Bogoria located inside Lake Bogoria National Reserve. It is approximately 3 hours’ drive from Nakuru.

On arrival, you will explore Lake Bogoria National Reserve – a saline water shallow located at the northern region of the Kenyan Rift, 25 kilometers south of Lake Baringo, on a game drive and walk around this spectacular lake in the heart of an arid landscape. The soda lake attracts massive flocks of flamingos and is often carpeted in pink, due to the high concentrations of flamingoes. Animal found in Lake Bogoria National Reserve include: Greater Kudu, Burchell’s Zebra warthogs, Forest hog Impala, Klipspringers, Cape buffalo, Patas Monkeys among others. Predators include genet, serval cat, cite and white tailed mongoose and cheetah. You will have lunch at the hotel.

You will also have a chance to see the Tugen traditional artifacts and have a unique and thrilling experience with the resident traditional dancers. The western shore has hot springs and spouting geysers, spurting steam and bubbling geothermal pools. Fresh water springs at the lake edge attract an abundance of birds and wildlife. Later in the evening you will return to the hotel.

Dinner and Overnight will be at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort.

Day 5: Lake Bogoria – Nairobi

After Breakfast, our representative will be ready pick you up at the camp after check out. You will start your journey to Nairobi which is approximately 5 hours’ drive. You will have a couple stopovers along the way at the scenic spots for photos. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and our representative will drop you off at your school. This will mark the end of your adventurous Geographical Tour.
